Jesus Christ is Come in the Flesh (2 John 1:7)

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. (2 John 1:7)

Jesus Christ became a human being and remained a human being, being 100% God and 100% man. He literally came in the flesh. After He died, He rose again in the flesh. To believe otherwise is to be “deceiver and an antichrist.”

This is a dangerous doctrine because if Jesus did not become one of us, how could He redeem us from our sin? A kinsman redeemer is a close relative. “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh” (Romans 8:3). “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil” (Hebrews 2:14).

The Jehovah’s Witnesses deny a physical resurrection. They may quote 1 Corinthians 15:44: “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.” But the spiritual body is a body, because “a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have” (Luke 24:39)!

Do not let these false witnesses into your home. “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds” (2 John 1:10-11). Do not assist them in their journey spreading lies. Do not bring them in so your family can listen to their heresy. Know the truth: there is no redemption in their other-gospel message.
