Christ Is Dead in Vain (Galatians 2:21)

I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (Galatians 2:21)
If we could be saved by human effort, then Christ did not need to die. If there was something special within humankind that would appease the Father’s holy wrath against sin, Christ would be dead in vain. Because we were hopelessly alienated from God, only the death of Jesus Christ could save us from eternal death.
So when someone comes along and says there is another path to God, you can see how dangerous it is. The enemy whispers through religious people that as long you are on some human-devised path to God, you will be okay.
Don’t be deceived by the spirit of this age; so many undermine the severity of sin and the cross of our Savior Jesus Christ. They “frustrate the grace of God.”
