Christ died for us... we be dead with Christ (Romans 5:8; 6:8)

Jesus died for me; that’s justification. I died with Him; that’s identification. Where He is, I am there also. Where I am, He is there also; “God with us.”
Why is worldliness so bad? The world murdered our Lord, which makes it so heinous. Every act or worldliness is complicity with Judas Iscariot. It is treachery of the worst kind, because we are so bound up in our Lord, but we try to break away from Him.
Christ died for us while we were yet His enemies. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). He made us completely new by our death and life with Him. “Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him” (Romans 6:8). These are immutable facts that we neither elicit nor maintain.
