Camel Squeezing

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. (Mark 10:27)

“Who then can be saved?” (Mark 10:26). Jesus answers, “With men it is impossible” (Mark 10:27). It is unclear whether the disciples understood the magnitude of this answer. Surely, the world does not. We make the needle’s eye something else just so we can squeeze that camel through. But the Lord made no such consolation. There is no hope in men. Someone else must deliver us. Jesus is that someone. He finishes His answer: “but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” Rest. He has delivered us from the wrath to come.
