One That Was Born Blind (John 9:32)

Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. (John 9:32)

Imagine being born blind, never seeing anything ever. Then you are healed of your blindness, and you saw for the first time. Your life would be changed; something you could never perceive became fully available to you. A world you knew existed, but never been to, was opened in a moment of time.

There is a bigger picture here. “And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind” (John 9:39). The spiritual component is far more important. While Jesus heals the physically blind, He heals the spiritually blind. He opens to us a whole new world that we heard the fame of, but never could experience it.

We must come to Him blind that He may give us sight.
