Because of Their Unbelief (Matthew 13:58)

And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. (Matthew 13:58)

Without faith, the people of Nazareth missed out on the Lord working amongst them. I think we also miss out on all kinds of things because we do not believe.

We all have times we do not believe perfectly. “But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?” (Matthew 14:30-31).

The Lord can do all things. We must believe that He can. This is not a magic formula to obligate God to do whatever we want, as some propose. He does not always act the way we want just because we believe He can do all things. However, even in those things where He does not act as we would like him to, we trust that His perfect will is better.
