Avoiding Entanglements

In these times, I think it is important to avoid worldly entanglements. What I mean is that we should prayerfully consider every decision and determine whether it is necessary. For example, I went back to school a few years ago, and in the middle of my study, the pandemic broke out. I kept wondering whether I would have to interrupt the studies if I got sick. I question my motives for even doing it in the first place.

Well, that is a rather benign example. I wonder if I put efforts into things that won’t matter in these last days. “Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain...” (James 4:13). Weigh every decision to see if it is from the Lord and seek first His kingdom and righteousness.
