Moreover I Will Appoint a Place (2 Samuel 7:10)

Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime (2 Samuel 7:10)

The LORD saying this is significant because the people were already settled in Israel, and the capitol Jerusalem was already established. This is a yet-future place, and it is tied to a Son that would come from David. This is an impregnable place where the wicked can no longer afflict them.

The Davidic covenant is not really for David. It is for the Lord Jesus Christ. If we are His, then this is written for us. And what place is it from where we no longer move? Heaven? It is wherever He is.
