An Heritage of the LORD

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. (Psalm 127:3-5)

As of a few short days ago, I am now a father of three. God has truly blessed us indeed. There was a time I believed, like many other young people, that the day would never come that I would be married with children... but now, here I am!

Psalm 127 specifically says that children are not only from the LORD, but they are his reward! I know I did not deserve any reward, but God has blessed me anyway. Many Christians have trouble believing this. Many are reluctant to have children for many reasons. In many cases, it is the fear of the great expense. God, however, has provided our needs in every way, and I am thankful. God provides the needs for our children, as God loves our children more than we do.

Since my wife and I got married in our thirties, who knows if we will be able to have more children, but, Lord willing, we will! We will see how God provides for us, and if this the end of the road, we will be content with that, as we have been blessed greatly as we are.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your blessing, and providing all of our needs.
