After My Decease (2 Peter 1:15)

Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. (2 Peter 1:15)
The servant and apostle (2 Peter 1:1) knew that he would soon die, as it was shown him by revelation. However, he does not care for any of that. His main concern was that the letter’s recipients would remember all that he had taught them so that they would not fall (2 Peter 1:10).
This is the question that we must remember: what manner of legacy are we leaving to those we leave behind? Maybe we were somebody or maybe we were nobody in this life. However, we can leave our mark on the people the Lord places in our path by reflecting the Savior to them.
