Christ After the Flesh

...yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. (2 Corinthians 5:16)

We can know facts about Jesus without knowing Him. We can study the Bible as literature and narrative without being changed by it. The action of the Spirit in our lives is what we need. We must depend on Him, or we will be left with Christ as a historical figure without Him being the Lord. He wants to help us, but we must rely on Him.
